Biography
Mr Prash Jesudasan is a Consultant Hand and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the management of hand, wrist and elbow conditions. He was appointed as a consultant in 2012 and has developed a practice focused on both elective and trauma-related upper limb conditions. He completed his medical degree at the University of Manchester and undertook specialist orthopaedic training in Manchester and Lancashire. During this time, he completed advanced training in hand surgery at tertiary centres including Salford and Wythenshawe, gaining experience in both orthopaedic and plastic surgical techniques. Mr Jesudasan holds the British Diploma in Hand Surgery and has a clinical practice that includes the management of Dupuytren’s disease, nerve compression syndromes, arthritis, tendon disorders and complex hand and wrist injuries. He has a particular interest in small joint replacement, sports-related hand and wrist injuries and conditions affecting musicians, reflecting both his clinical experience and personal interest as a musician. In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in teaching and training and serves as an educational supervisor for junior doctors. He has contributed to research in areas including nerve injury, hand function and sustainable surgical practice. Outside of surgery, he is a keen musician and enjoys playing a range of instruments, as well as spending time outdoors.
